You're right to call me out on that, as I don't have any statistical data. Unfortunately, the U.S. government's definition of "need" seems to be different than mine. If you have been rendered physically or mentally disable and are unable to sufficiently provide for yourself, that is a "need" in my book. If you don't make enough money because of poor lifestyle habbits/choices, that seems to count as a "need" in the government's book. With that being the case, the federal statistics on what I consider "needs" are hard to come by...
